About the Logo

1. Concept

The theme of this conference is "Forest, Farmland and the Sea: Water Linkage and the Life of People". The logo is designed to explain the theme based on the feature of Mt. Daisen are in Tottori Prefecture. The ribbon represents the water linkage and the nature world doesn't exist without it. Each color shows our natural environments; beige for the color of sand at Yumigahama beach, blue for Japan Sea and Hino River, orange for autumn leaves at Mt. Daisen, brown for soil of the mountain and green for the forest in Mt. Daisen.

２．Making

We would like to introduce International Ecotourism Conference 2013 in Tottori as many as possible. To create a PR tool, we sought a help from students at "Digital Hollywood Studio Yonago" and co-produced this logo. We are going to use this logo on our posters, fliers, banners and elsewhere possible. We would like the business and organizations who are supporting this conference to share this logo as well. As a whole local community, we are going to promote this conference widely.
