International Ecotourism Conference 2013 in Tottori＞What's New＞Discover Real Japanese Countryside by Bike! ~Trial Tour in Daisen~

On June 29th (Sat), we held a trial cycling tour for international guests.
The weather was great and participants were from various countries; Canada, France, Russia, Korea, China and Taiwan.
We planned a course for downhill cycling from beech forests in Mt. Daisen to blue Japan Sea.
Now, let's go!!



We start from Goenzan ski hill.


It was a hot day in town but it was foggy and a little chilly in the mountain.


We came down quite a bit already and the fog cleared off and the sunshine came back.




Today's guide was Mr. Akita from Mori no Kuni.


We keep going down hill in one line.
Everybody was overwhelmed by beautiful scenery on both sides.



We made rice balls and miso soup for lunch at an old traditonal Japanese house.
We were worried that it might be too strange for somw of the international guests but everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.




We had a Tea ceremony after lunch.
It was the first experience for almost all the partcipants to make green tea like this.


We went cycling among rice fields in the afternoon.



Karasu Tengu Park was our goal of the day.  A giant crow-billed goblin statue (Karasu Tengu) welcomed us.
