"Daisen Loop Bus" goes around Mt.Daisen 10 times a day!
This bus will let you travel around Mt.Daisen your own way.
On April 27th, the service opened for this year and I was one of the first passengers to be on the bus.
Let’s begin the tour!
Day-pass is ¥1000. Take the timetable with you.
This is the bus stop (on the left) for Daisen Loop Bus.
Here comes the bus. People from Tottori Prefecture's tourism department were there
to welcome passengers and celebrate the launch of the service.
The bus seats about 20 people.
Some news media was on the bus as well to cover the Loop Bus.
Mt. Daisen from the bus.
Mt. Daisen is similar to famous Mt. Fuji in shape.
The weather was great and the mountain looked beautiful more than usual!
~~
I got off the bus at Daisen Information Center to pay a visit to Daisenji Temple.
There were more officials here as well to welcome the passengers. Great hospitality!
Daisen Town's mascot "Mukipanda" greeted us.
They were handing out yogurt drinks and candies which are locally produced.
Delicious!!
It's almost May and the snow still remains on top of the mountain.
What a beautiful view! It looks like something from a postcard.
It was very nice to get some fresh air :)
It usually costs an adult ¥300, but with a Loop Bus day-pass, it's free!
I'm getting hungry now. Let's catch the next bus and go get lunch!
I chose a restaurant where they serve berbequed lamb meat and vegetables.
All-you-can-eat for ¥1300 (60 minutes). I was stuffed!
I also had an icecream which was made with locally produced drinkable yogurt.
It was very good and I highly recommend that you should try it someday!
Then I headed to Mori no Kuni. It's an athletic park.
The entrance fee for an adult is ¥800 (with the Loop Bus day-pass, ¥50 discount).
There are so many ways to have fun in this park.
Please check their website for more detail. http://www.japro.com/morinokuni/
This giant Greenslider was very eye-catching and I had to try it myself. Very thrilling!
I chose Daisen Course among many amusement attractions.
The course includes 25 ponts to challenge your athletic skills.
When I finshed the course, I was very tired as if I climbed to the top of Mt. Daisen!
I got back on the bus again, went to my final desitination ; Kotobuki-jyo.
It is a sweets factory built looking like a castle from old days.
You can buy not only their sweet products but also local specialty products.
With a help of Daisen Loop Bus, I was able to travel around a lot today.
I visited many places throughout the day.
Mt. Daisen sits in the are where there are intersting tourist spots and great nature.
I need more than one day to experience them all.
I will definitely use Daisen Loop Bus again!
If you are considering traveling to Mt. daisen, you don't have to worried about means of transportation. Just take Daisen Loop Bus!
