The 3rd. trial tour in Sakaiminato and Yonago was held on July 13th. (Sat), 2013.
The theme was "Visit the port town and learn about the eco activities in the neighboring are".
Let's GO!
The first destination was Miho Bay Lookout Point.
What do you see through this window? Mt.Daisen!! (Supposably.. It was a bit cloudy today.)
We visited a fishermen's market at a small port which is held once a month.
Fishermen themselves sell their catch of the day. Everything is so fresh and inexpensive.
Next, we visited Mizuki Shigeru Museum. You can learn about Japanese famous cartoonist from Sakaiminato city. The entire area is dedicated to him and the characters from his works.
It's lunch time.
We had a bowl of rice topped with fresh Sashimi from the area.
After lunch, we went to Mihonoseki which has a very old light house as their symbol.
Once in a while, they open the light house to public.
We walked through a little town that reminded you good old days. It will make you feel like you traveled back in time. Then we came to Miho Shrine.
We had a hand-made soy sauce ice cream!! Surprisingly, it tasted great.
Lastly, we stopped at the construction site of (will-be) the largest solar panel park and Yonago Waterbird Sanctuary.
Thank you all for coming today!!
